Meet Audrey & Rebecca.
Audrey Cowart is a licensed professional counselor and a certified rehabilitation counselor.
Mrs. Cowart was born in Athens, Georgia, at the time of her father’s final year of law school at the University of Georgia. Her father practiced law in the small southeast Georgia town of Vidalia, where he and Mrs. Cowart’s mother were raised.
Mrs. Cowart graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1997 with an undergraduate degree in Sociology. She completed her graduate training at the University of Georgia in 1999 for a Master’s in Education-Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. Mrs. Cowart has continued to reside in Athens with her husband.
Initially working for the University of Georgia following graduate school, Mrs. Cowart continued her public sector service with the State of Georgia for almost nine years as a vocational rehabilitation counselor serving students and adults with disabilities. She advanced to team management prior to her transition to the private sector.
In the private sector, Mrs. Cowart initially worked for and studied with rehabilitation consultants Dr. Lee Brinkley Bryan and Dr. Jack Sink for three years. In October 2012, Mrs. Cowart opened and continues to operate a private consulting practice, Audrey S. Cowart, LLC, applying her education, experience, and training in vocational rehabilitation.
Rebecca Weisenbach is a certified rehabilitation counselor. Mrs. Weisenbach was born and raised in Athens, Georgia. Her father was a college athlete, swimming for the University of Georgia. She and her husband have raised two sons and continue to reside in Athens.
Mrs. Weisenbach graduated from the University of Georgia with an undergraduate degree in Social Work. She then completed her graduate training at the University of Kentucky for a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling.
Mrs. Weisenbach retired from employment with the State of Georgia in 2022. Her career began in 1991 with the Department of Juvenile Justice. The majority of her tenure in public service was for the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency assisting eligible students with disabilities in their transition from high school to advanced training or education leading to competitive integrated employment. Mrs. Weisenbach received the agency’s Distinguished Service Award in 2018.
In 2023, Mrs. Weisenbach joined Audrey S. Cowart, LLC, as a consulting vocational rehabilitation counselor.
